PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's basketball team will host the Rhode Island Rams on Monday night at Tom Gola Arena. The game will be broadcast to a national television audience on CBS Sports Network. Ed Cohen will deliver the play-by-play, while Julianne Viani will be the color analyst.

The two programs have met 31 times since the series started during the 1984-85 season. The Explorers hold a 25-6 advantage overall, including an 11-3 mark at home.
Scouting the Explorers
-La Salle will look to rebound from back-to-back A-10 losses (VCU and Duquesne) after going on a five-game win streak in December.
-A-10 leading scorer
Amy Griffin (20.4 ppg) became the 25th 1,000-point scorer in program history on Thursday against Duquesne. Griffin finished with 16 points to join senior
Micahya Owens (1,336 pts) as active 1,000-point scorers for the Explorers.

Jasmine Alston, who leads the Atlantic 10 with 2.6 steals per game, needs just three more steals to pass Jennifer McGowan (233 steals, 1988-93) as La Salle's all-time leader.
-Alston is also second in the A-10 in assists (7.6 apg) and third in rebounds (8.9 rpg). The senior has tallied two double-doubles (Fairfield, VCU) and a triple-double this season (Miami (Ohio)).

Adreana Miller paced the Explorers in scoring for the second straight game, dropping 17 points against Duquesne after a career-high 20 points at VCU. The sophomore is second in the A-10 in free throw percentage (90.0 %) and ninth in three-point field goals made per game (1.9).

Lisa Mintzer, who missed the season's first four games due to injury, played a career-high 34 minutes against Duquesne Thursday. The Explorers are 5-2 on the season when the Havertown, Pa. product has logged minutes and 3-4 when she hasn't.
-La Salle is second in the A-10 in blocked shots with 6.2 per game. Both Griffin and Mintzer are in the top 10 in career blocks at La Salle as Griffin enters tonight's action 5th all-time with 76 blocks while Mintzer sits 7th with 69 rejections.
Scouting the Rams
-Rhode Island is winless in their last eight games, with their last victory coming over UMass Lowell on November 29.
-Rhody's Charise Wilson averages 19.2 per contest, second in the A-10 behind
Amy Griffin. Wilson (1,287 career points) passed Tanya Rhodes for eighth place in scoring in program history with 26 points at Massachusetts on Jan. 4.
-Dina Motrechuk leads the Atlantic 10 and ranks 13th in the country with 38 blocked shots. The sophomore averages 2.5 blocks per game and has five more blocks than any other player in the A-10.
-Junior Morgan Johnson made five 3-pointers, a career-high, at Massachusetts on Wednesday.
