PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle volleyball team is slated to host a pair of Atlantic 10 matches this weekend, beginning with Fordham on Friday, Oct. 13 at 7:00 p.m. followed by Rhode Island on Sunday, Oct. 15 at 1:00 p.m.

After capturing their first A-10 win of 2017 over Davidson last weekend, the Explorers will look to build momentum as they continue league play.

Scouting the Explorers…

- La Salle went 1-1 last weekend after topping Davidson in a thrilling five set victory before falling to VCU in straight sets. The team is 10-11 overall and 1-5 in league play facing this weekend.
- Madison Kuch paced the Explorers against Davidson, racking up 24 kill and three solo blocks to help the team capture the win. Bryanna Davis tallied 20 kills while recording a double-double with 19 digs.
- Devin Corah ranks eighth in overall conference stats with 3.15 kills per set. The sophomore has totaled 233 across her 74 set appearances.
- Jensen Sharrits sits at second in the A-10 with an average of 4.72 digs per set. The junior has turned in 387 on the season.

Scouting the Rams…

- The Rams are 10-9 on the season, starting league play with a 2-4 record. The Explorers topped the Rams a season ago in five sets and will look to repeat the victory again on Friday in Tom Gola.
- Olivia Fairchild ranks third in kills in the conference, with an average of 3.54 per set. The sophomore has posted 241 over the past 19 contests.
- Junior Maddy Walsh averages 7.74 assists per set to sit at fifth behind La Salle's Kathryn Wood, who ranks third. Walsh has turned in 480 assists on the season.
- Morgan Williams has contributed 287 digs on the season to rank sixth in conference overall statistics. The sophomore averages 4.22 per set.

- The Rams have split league play 3-3 thus far, after falling to Dayton and Saint Louis this past weekend.
- Marie Gillcrist ranks eighth in hitting percentage in overall conference statistics. The senior has racked up 136 kills for a .285 hitting percentage.
- Gillcrist powers Rhode Island defensively as well, sitting at third in the conference with 94 blocks on the season. She averages 1.38 per set.
- Jessie Blaze ranks tenth in the conference with an average of 3.29 digs per set, turning in 217 total on the year.
