GILBERT, Ariz.-
Kendall Kreider of the La Salle field hockey team was selected to compete in the 2017 Victory Sports Tours/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division I Senior game, it was announced by the organization on Wednesday. The midfielder was one of 50 student-athletes chosen to compete in the November 17 tilt at University of Louisville.
The Annville, Pa. native was one of 38 named to the roster for the 7:00 PM game at the culmination of regulation season. Following the group of 38 student-athlete are 12 alternates who will take the place of players unable to compete.
Named a team captain for the 2017 season, Kreider led the team during her junior campaign with seven goals and has totaled 20 in her career. This season, she helped La Salle to a 3-0 shutout against Davidson with one goal and an assist. Over her career, she has chipped in ten assists as a midfielder.
The game will be played in between the semifinal and championships rounds of the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Tournament at Louisville. Â
