Box Score PITTSBURGH – The La Salle volleyball team (11-13, 2-7 A-10) fell in straight sets to the Duquesne Dukes (10-13, 5-4 A-10) on Saturday afternoon at the Palumbo Center.
The Explorers lost the opening set 25-11 before falling 25-19 in the middle set and 25-12 in set number three.
Devin Corah led the Explorers with seven kills while
Bryanna Davis and
Reilly Lowe each posted five kills.
Kathryn Wood had 22 assists.
Defensively, Corah and Lowe each had a pair of blocks while
Jensen Sharrits led the team with 11 digs.
Alyssa Cianciulli had seven digs and Davis added three.
Abbie Trzeciak's hit .556 on the way to 12 kills for the Dukes, who hit .357 as a team. Molly Davet was solid for the home team as well, posting nine kills and eight digs.
La Salle returns to action this week as they host the University of Maryland Eastern Shore on Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
