PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle volleyball team will host a pair of Atlantic 10 matches this weekend, beginning with VCU on Friday, Nov. 3 at 7:00 p.m. The team will then welcome Davidson for a Sunday matchup at 1:00 p.m.
Sunday's match will open with a brief senior day ceremony to honor the class of 2017, beginning at 12:40 p.m.
Scouting the Explorers…
- La Salle has tripled its conference wins from a season ago, topping George Mason most recently in a four set match in Washington, D.C. Sundays match against Davidson will feature the second meeting of the two teams, where La Salle came out on top in the five set thriller.
- Five Explorers rank in the top five in the 10 major statistical categories for the conference.
Devin Corah sits at second with 299 kills while
Bryanna Davis ranks fourth with 291.

Jensen Sharrits leads the conference with 485 digs, while sitting at third in an average per 4.58 per set.

Kathryn Wood, who recently eclipsed her 2,000 career assist, ranks second in conference statsitistics with an average of 9.59 per set.
- The Explorers will honor seniors Davis,
Hannah McGary and
Rachel Carr in the senior day ceremony on Sunday.

Scouting the Rams…
- The Rams are in the midst of a 22 game win streak, dropping matches only to Texas A&M and Notre Dame this season. They have dropped just two sets total after a battle with Dayton in Atlantic 10 play for an 11-0 record.
- VCU's uses a strong defensive presence to earn their winning record this season, as a pair of Rams sit at the top of conference statistics in blocks per set. Tori Baldwin leads the way with 1.57 blocks per set, which Jasmine Sneed follows with 1.46 per set.
- Rebekah Strange has amassed 405 digs over her 84 set appearances to sit at fifth in the conference.

Scouting the Wildcats…
- The 'Cats have clawed their way to three conference wins this season, including a 3-2 upset win over Saint Louis last weekend. Davidson dropped a five set match against the Explorers at home earlier this season and will look to avenge the loss.
- Kelly Friers sits at second in conference statistics with 3.57 kills per set after amassing 182 over 51 set appearances.
- Ellie Crosley averages a .337 hitting percentage, with places her fourth in conference standings.
