PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle lacrosse team will welcome Central Connecticut State and Iona this weekend. Due to weather, the game against the Blue Devils will be played at Saint Joseph's Sweeney Field at 5:00. The Explorers will face the Blue Devils on Friday, March 17 before battling the Gaels at McCarthy Stadium on Sunday, March 18 with a new start time of 12:30 PM.

Explorers vs. Blue Devils All-Time Series
The Explorers and the Blue Devils have met three times since 2013, with La Salle claiming all three games. Most recently, La Salle posted an 8-6 victory at Central Connecticut a season ago. Against the Blue Devils in the 2016 campaign, senior returner Alee Ilgenfritz tallied four goals to help La Salle take home the win.

Scouting the Blue Devils…
- Central Connecticut is 1-5 this season, with head coach Princess Livingston in her first season at the helm.
- The Blue Devils are led by Melissa Soto, who has tallied 15 goals on the season while causing four turnovers. Adding 14 goals on the season is Megan Szawlowski, who ranks second on the team in scoring and has added a team-high 19 draws.
- Controlling the defense is senior Courtney McPartland, who has caused a team-high 18 turnovers and has picked up 20 groundballs on the season.
- Notably, the Blue Devils took on Iona earlier this season, falling in a 15-6 matchup with the Gaels, who La Salle will face on Sunday.
