PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle lacrosse team will begin Atlantic 10 play this weekend when the team travels to George Mason on Friday, March 31 before returning home to host Richmond on Sunday, April 2. Draw is slated for 5:00 PM against the Patriots to get the conference season underway.

Scouting the Explorers…
- The Explorers are split 4-4 on the season entering conference play and will look to clinch a spot in the championship weekend after missing the A-10 tournament by just one seed last year.
- Leading La Salle scoring is
Allee Ilgenfritz, who has tallied 24 goals over nonconference play. Ranking a close second is
Toni Massetti, who has netted 23 goals on the season.

Brittany Edwards averages a .500 shot percentage and has recorded 19 goals to rank third on the team. The junior attack is tied with Ilgenfritz with seven assists to lead the team.

Anna Gordon has picked up 19 ground balls and won 13 draws to lead the Explorers in both categories.

La Salle vs. George Mason All-Time Series
George Mason leads the all-time series 2-1 since the two team's first meeting in 2014. La Salle opened the series with a lopsided 13-4 win that season, but has dropped the following two contests against the Patriots. The Explorers will look to even the series on Friday at the George Mason Stadium.

- George Mason is off to a 4-4 start as they welcome La Salle for the first A-10 game of 2017, with head coach Jessy Morgan in her third year at the helm.
- Chachi Kelehan leads the Patriots with 21 goals on the season and has added seven assists to tie for first on the team.
- Hannah Warpinski leads the Patriots in ground balls and caused turnovers. The junior attack has caused 22 turnovers over the non-conference season and picked up 25 ground balls.
- Elizabeth Benedetto ranks first among goalkeepers with 68 saves and averages a .438 save percentage, while Melissa Semkiw has tallied 22 saves but averages a .500 save percentage.

La Salle vs. Richmond All-Time Series
Richmond has claimed every meeting between the two teams dating back to 2002. La Salle will welcome the Spiders and attempt to earn the team's first home A-10 victory of the 2017 campaign.

Scouting the Spiders…
- The Spiders are 5-3 entering the conference season. Richmond will face Duquesne on Friday, March 31 to open A-10 play before traveling to La Salle on Sunday.
- Natalia Chaney leads the Spiders in scoring, netting 25 goals. Sam Geiersbach ranks second with 22 goals.
- Caroline Quealley ranks first in draws, with 41 won on the season, while Kim Egizi ranks first in draws, winning 34 so far this season.
- Goalkeeper Megan Gianforte has received A-10 Defensive Player of the Week twice this season, after recording 78 saves and averaging a .517 save percentage over nonconference play. She has picked up 24 ground balls on the season to lead the team.
