PHILADELPHIA- The La Salle volleyball team will welcome a pair of conference teams to Tom Gola Arena this weekend.  The Explorers will face George Washington on Friday, Sept. 20 at 7:00 p.m. before welcoming George Mason at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Scouting the Explorers…
- La Salle is off to a 9-6 start this year, most recently posting wins over Siena and cross-town rival Penn in a five set thriller. La Salle is coming off of a 0-3 weekend at the Colgate Invitational and will look to snap a losing streak as the team opens conference play.
-Three Explorers rank in the top 10 in Atlantic 10 statistics for kills per set. Freshman Samantha Graver sits at third in the A-10 with 3.48 kills per set, while Devin Corah ranks sixth with 3.25. Senior Bryanna Davis ranks ninth with 153 kills on the season entering A-10 play.
- Setter Kathryn Wood ranks second in the A-10 with an average of 10.09 assists per set.
- With an average of 4.93 digs per set, Jensen Sharrits leads the A-10 as libero. The junior has tallied 286 so far this season, while Graver sits at ninth in A-10 stats with 179 digs.

Scouting the Colonials…
- George Washington is coming off of a 3-0 loss at the hands of Maryland Eastern Shore, who the Explorers will meet later this season.
- The Colonials are led by Kelsey Clark, who has recorded 107 kills on the season to average 2.43 per set. Clark has added 23 total blocks for the Colonials, with two being solo blocks.
- Sophomore Jaimeson Lee ranks 10^th in A-10 overall statistics with an average of 5.85 assists per set.
-Freshman Sydney Welch has recorded 206 digs to sit at seventh in conference standings with an average of 3.96 per set.

Scouting the Patriots…
- The Patriots finished 4-9 in nonconference play, most recently posting a 3-2 win over Loyola Md., who the Explorers also topped in five sets. Mason will face Duquesne on Friday for their first A-10 matchup before heading to Tom Gola on Sunday.
- Mason is led in the attack by Bailey Williams, who has racked up 122 kills for the Patriots so far. She is followed by Mikala Wells, who has added 115 kills on the season.
- Emily Konchan ranks sixth in conference statistics with 7.28 per set. The freshman has compiled 233 across her 32 set appearances.
- Caite Espinoza appears fourth in A-10 statistics in digs. She has contributed 201 digs to average 4.47 per set.
- Mason squeezed past La Salle in conference play last year in a 3-2 victory. Assistant coach Scott Schweihofer will face his former team, where he coached from 2014-2016, as La Salle seeks to come out with the win this year.
