PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle University baseball team has announced its schedule for the upcoming 2018 season. The Explorers are slated for 20 home games at Hank DeVincent Field in head coach David Miller's first season at the helm.

La Salle will play its first seven games of the season in South Carolina, and its first 15 contests will take place on the road. The Explorers will open the 2018 campaign with a four-game series at Presbyterian on Feb. 16-18. The following weekend, La Salle will visit The Citadel for a three-game series on Feb. 23-25.

The Explorers will conclude the opening month at Maryland Eastern Shore on Feb. 27. Kicking off the month of March will be a three-game series at Kansas State (March 2-4) followed by a three-game series at Missouri (March 9-11). La Salle will conclude its opening road stretch at Fairleigh Dickinson on March 14.

On March 16, the Explorers will host their home opener at Hank DeVincent Field against Sacred Heart. La Salle will remain at home for a matchup versus Wagner on March 17 and a contest against Manhattan the following day. The Explorers will then travel to West Virginia on March 20 to take on the Mountaineers, who reached the NCAA Winston-Salem Regional Final a season ago.

Atlantic 10 play will begin for the Explorers on March 23-25 with a three-game series at George Washington. La Salle will then take on defending Colonial Athletic Association Champion Delaware on March 27 in the first round of the Liberty Bell Classic. The Explorers will host a three-game A-10 series against Saint Joseph's (March 30-April 1) before continuing the Liberty Bell Classic on April 3 versus Lehigh or Rider.

After hitting the road for a three-game series at Rutgers (April 6-8), La Salle will play five straight games at home against Delaware State (April 10), Lehigh (April 11) and Fordham (April 13-15). The Explorers will remain in Philadelphia for a contest at Penn on April 17 and a home game versus Villanova on April 18. La Salle will take on Massachusetts on the road for three games from April 20-22 before hosting Maryland Eastern Shore (April 24) and Saint Louis (April 27-29) to close out the month.

The Explorers will begin the month of May with nine road contests, starting with visits to Delaware State (May 1) and LIU Brooklyn (May 2). The road stretch will continue with a pair of three-game A-10 series at Rhode Island (May 4-6) and at Richmond (May 11-13) followed by a game at Delaware on May 15. La Salle will conclude the regular season at home with a three-game series against George Mason from May 17-19.

The Atlantic 10 Championship will be hosted by George Washington and will take place from May 23-26 in Arlington, Va.
