Ibrahim Kedir of the La Salle University men's cross country team qualified to represent Team Canada on the national stage after his performance at the Canadian National Cross Country Championships over the weekend.
Kedir finished fourth out of 104 finishers in the U-20 junior men's race. He posted a time of 24:58.9 with a pace of 3:08 over the 8K course.
The Atlantic 10 Conference Most Outstanding Rookie Performer, Kedir was La Salle's top finisher in three races this fall, including a fourth place all-conference showing at the A-10 Championships. The Toronto native will now have the opportunity to represent Canada at the World Cross Country Championships in March.
