PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The La Salle women's lacrosse team returns home to host Central Michigan on Sunday at noon. The Explorers recently traveled to Delaware where they were outlasted by the Blue Hens in a highly competitive contest. In the game, the Explorers scored the final four goals of regulation -- a feat they also accomplished in their season opener against Fresno State. La Salle has faired much better in the second half this season, outscoring opponents 11-7 following the break. Freshman
Bridget Ruskey, who was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week following the team's opener, leads La Salle with six goals and 15 shots. Abby Meehan has picked up seven ground balls to lead the team. La Salle has caused 37 turnovers compared to only 30 giveaways of their own.
