Former Explorer to be Inducted to Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame

NEW CASTLE, Ind. – Former La Salle women's basketball standout Jennifer (Cole) Davis will be inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame, the Board of Directors has announced. The 2018 Women's Induction Class will be honored on Saturday, April 28, 2018.
 
Before an outstanding career at La Salle, Davis graduated from Valparaiso High School in 1989 as the school's all-time leading scorer (1,083 points) and rebounder (429 rebounds).  She also led the Vikings to a pair of sectional titles and a regional championship.

Davis remains La Salle's all-time leading scorer with 1,875 points and became the first female athlete in school history to have her jersey retired. Upon graduation, she ranked in the Top 10 in program history in 10 categories.
 
Davis was the 1992 MAAC Player of the Year, a two-time First Team All-Conference pick and a two-time Academic All-American. The 1993 graduate was also the first La Salle women's basketball player to be named Philadelphia Big 5 Player of the Year. Employed in pharmaceuticals, she resides in Highland, Michigan.
 
The Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame's 17thAnnual Women's Awards Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018. The day's events will include a free reception at the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame museum that afternoon and a banquet that evening at the Primo Banquet Hall in Indianapolis.
