PHILADELPHIA - The women's lacrosse team (2-3) will head south a few miles to take on the Temple Owls (4-3) on Monday afternoon.
Last week, La Salle fell to visiting Vanderbilt in a tight finish that had to be decided by overtime. In the game,
Lynne Frankel made 15 saves to stifle a Vandy offense that ranked at the top of the nation in scoring this season.
Brittany Edwards, who leads the team in scoring this season, had a team-high three goals to go along with an assist.
The Owls have won two of their last three, including most recently at home to ECU. In that game, the Owls used a 9-0 run in the second half to put the Pirates away. Temple has four players with double-digit goals this season, including leading scorer Maddie Gerbert.
Two of Temple's three losses have come against nationally ranked opponents.
