Box Score BRONX, NY - The La Salle women's lacrosse team scored its second highest goal total of the season in a 16-9 road win over Manhattan on Friday.

The Explorers began the game in a big way, scoring the first four goals of the contest. Rachel Ceplo and Brittany Edwards each put a pair of shots into the back of the net to give the Blue and Gold the 4-0 lead nine minutes into the game.

After the Jaspers scored their first goal, Ceplo answered with her third of the game. 

Freshman Bridget Ruskey scored once more later in the first half, giving the Explorers the 6-2 advantage heading into the half.

The Explorers scored ten more times in the second half, coming out even stronger offensively.

Edwards scored her third goal of the game just seconds into the half. Later on, she'd score again.

Mikki Raymond and Ruskey both had big second halves with three goals and two assists each in the frame.

Isabel Caddick scored her first goal of the game as well.

In net, Lynne Frankel had five saves. The sophomore goalie entered the game fourth in the nation in saves per game.

La Salle led the game in ground balls with 18 total. 

The Explorers will have a week's rest before returning to action, and returning to New York, next Friday when they travel to take on LIU Brooklyn.
