WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The La Salle women's golf team completed the third and final round of its spring season opener on Tuesday afternoon. The Explorers shot 359 and finished in 15th place at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, hosted by the College of William & Mary.
Redshirt freshman
Marybelle Daclan shot 83 and was the top individual performer for La Salle, tying for 53rd place. Senior
Mariam Colon carded an 89 for her final round, while sophomore
Rebecca Smith and freshman
Franca Hurtado closed at 90 and 97, respectively.Â
Akron won the team title by six strokes over St. John's, while Red Storm golfer Kaitleen Shee earned medalist honors by finishing three shots ahead of a pair of competitors.
La Salle continues its season on April 8-9 at the Vanessa Picciotto Perrine Intercollegiate, hosted by Wagner College.
