PRINCETON, N.J. – The La Salle University women's track and field team took part in the Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton University.
Grace Mancini finished in third place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:36.88.
Jessica Bryant also notched a third place finish in the long jump, posting a leap of 5.43 meters.
Ariel Mitchell finished fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.33, while
Marissa Francis finished 13th at 12.84.
Emily Ward placed fifth in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 4:49.97.
Lexi Sciortino and
Allana Powlette also placed 10th and 11th in the event, respectively.
In the 200-meter dash, Mitchell sprinted in 25.15 to finish ninth, while
Desirae Osley finished 13th at 25.56 and
Amber Jenkins was 16th at 25.69.
Sydney King posted a mark of 1.47 meters in the high jump to finish 11th.
Chidinma Matthew came in 13th in the 400-meter sprint with a time of 1:00.02.
The Explorers will be back in action on Friday at the Bucknell Bison Classic.
