LITTLESTON, Pa. - The La Salle University women's golf team concluded play at the Vanessa Picciotto Perrine Memorial Intercollegiate on Monday. Redshirt freshman
Marybelle Daclan led the way, posting the first top-10 finish of her career after carding a final-round 79.
Daclan broke 80 in each of the two rounds she played at the event, and tied for the tournament lead in Par-5 scoring with a 4.88 stroke average. She had 22 pars over 36 holes, which ranked in a tie for sixth in the field, and her 4.45 stroke average on par-4 holes tied her for ninth overall.
Also competing for the Explorers were senior
Mariam Colon and freshman
Franca Hurtado, who tied for 20th at 171. Hurtado was impressive on the par 3's, averaging 3.13 strokes per hole to tie for second among all players. Sophomore
Rebecca Smith finished at 180 and freshman
Gina Lizzo rounded out the La Salle group at 195.
LIU Brooklyn won the team title by a stroke over Columbia, while LIU's Carolina Ronchel earned medalist honors at 147.
La Salle continues its spring season with a dual match against Niagara on Saturday, April 14.
