NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. –Junior Rebecca Smith took first place, shooting a 78 Saturday afternoon as the La Salle University women's golf team fell to Niagara, 328-325.
 
LA SALLE SCORECARD:

• Behind Smith, was classmate Marybelle Daclan. The junior shot an 81, which was good enough for nine over par at the par 72 course in Niagara Falls, New York.
• Round out the scorecard for the Explorers was sophomore Franca Hurtado, freshman Grace Hickey, and junior Mary Eyde.
• Hurtado shot an 83, placing seventh, while Hickey carded an 86 in her first collegiate action.
• Eyde finished in 10^thwith a 98.
