LORTON, Va. – After two rounds at the Patriot Intercollegiate, freshmen
Dragon Theam is tied for seventh. Collectively, the La Salle University men's golf team is in 11
th after shooting a 304 in the first round and a 298 in the second.
COACH SAYS:
- "We had a tough, wet course with no roll and a pretty steady breeze most of the day, but Dragon led us all day with his consistent play," said head coach Scott Yurgalevicz. "He shot +2 and -1 for a two-round total of +1 putting him near the top of the individual leader board."
LA SALLE LEADER SAYS:
- "I don't hit it the furthest and the wet conditions made it that much harder, but I grinded out two solid rounds and was pleased with the result," Theam said. "I left plenty of shots on the course and I'll look to clean it up tomorrow."
LA SALLE SCORE CARD:
- Theam carded a 73 and 70 respectively, good enough for one over at the par 71 course. The freshman is five strokes behind the leader.
- Sophomore Ron Fischang is second on the Explorers squad, hitting a 74 and 76 on the day. His combined score of 150 has him tied for 47th and eight over par.
- Classmate David Kim scored a 154 through the first two rounds of play, shooting an 81 and a 73 to put himself tied for 61st.
- Sophomore Zaffar Sikkander sits in the four slot for the Explorers after hitting 77 and 79.
- Rounding out La Salle's scorecard is freshman Matthew Werner. Werner shot an 80 and a 79.

The third and final round of the Patriot Intercollegiate is set for Sunday.
