Marybelle Daclan had an impressive day two of the Delaware State Invitational shooting a 71 for -1 to place second in the tournament.This is the first time in program history that a golfer has hit under par for a round. The La Salle University women's golf team collectively hit 699 for the tournament to take third place.
LA SALLE SCORECARD:
- Daclan overtook second place, improving her round two score by seven strokes from round one.
- Sophomore Franca Hurtado stayed consistent from day one finishing in seventh. The Macungie, Pa. native carded an 83 in round two, improving her score by a stroke.
- Freshman Grace Hickey climbed from 15th to 11th from round one to round two. Hickey dropped an impressive 20 strokes from her score, carding an 84 on day two.
- Junior Gabby Morganti shot a 98 on day two, for a two-day total of 195, good enough for 14th.
- Junior Mary Eyde rounded out the Explorers scorecard taking 16th. Eyde shot a 116 in round two for a tournament total of 220.
