Men’s Cross Country Defeats Six A-10 Teams in Third Place Finish at Princeton Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – The La Salle University men's cross country team finished third among 24 Division I teams at the Princeton Invitational Saturday morning. The Explorers were also the top squad out of seven Atlantic 10 Conference schools.
 
WHERE THEY FINISHED
  • Junior Luke Jaciw-Zurakowsky led the way with an eighth place finish out of 235 finishers with a time of 24:07.8.
  • Sophomore Ibrahim Kedir also finished in the top 20, registering a 16th place finish with a mark of 24:25.8.
  • Redshirt senior Anthony Hawthorne wasn't too far behind either in 21st, crossing the 8K course in 24:32.2.
  • Freshman Alex Sandras also put together a top 50 finish, coming in 48th with a time of 25:05.2. Meanwhile, sophomore Ryan James made a late push to finish in 25:09.4. 57th
  • The Explorers totaled 133 points in the team standings, finishing ahead of all other six A-10 schools, including Fordham, UMass, George Mason, Davidson, Duquesne and George Washington.

  • La Salle will look to top those fellow conference opponents again in two weeks at the A-10 Championships on Saturday, Nov. 2, in Leesburg, Va.
