PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – La Salle University men's cross country and track freshman
Ibrahim Kedir turned in a sixth place finish to help Canada to the team title at the North American, Central American and Caribbean Athletics Association (NACAC) Cross Country Championships in Trinidad and Tobago over the weekend.
Kedir placed sixth out of 28 finishers in the U-20 8K race at Queen's Park Savannah with a time of 27:52.00. The Toronto native was one of four Canadians to finish in the top six as Team Canada cruised to the team championship over the United States, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Jamaica and the Bahamas.
Only a freshman, Kedir adds to an impressive resume that already features Atlantic 10 Conference Outstanding Rookie Performer and All-Conference honors in his first collegiate cross country season.
