PHILADELPHIA – Women's lacrosse continues their conference push with a pair of home games this weekend. Sitting at 1-1 in A-10 action, the Explorers have a chance to improve their standing against Davidson (Friday at 3 p.m., streamed on ESPN+) and VCU (Sunday at noon.) The latter matchup vs. the Rams is Alumni Appreciation Day and

ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
- Hot start at home: the Explorers have outscored opponents 30-19 in the first half at McCarthy Stadium this season.
- Home cooking in net: sophomore Molly Loughlin has made more saves (48) and faced less shots (89) in five games at home than four games on the road. Her goals against average of 10.36 and save percentage of 53.9% at home are better than her season average of 12.02 and 47.5%.
- In their last home game on March 22nd, the Explorers emerged with a 13-7 victory over George Washington. Sophomore Maddie Dachowski led all scorers with four goals and one assist.
- In their second conference game of the season, La Salle fell to George Mason. Sophomore Bridget Ruskey headlined the loss with a hattrick and six draw controls.
- Dachowski leads the Explorers with 23 goals this season, while Ruskey follows with 20. Ruskey ranks first in draw controls with 32, ahead of classmate Emily Johnston on 23.
- Johnston, for her part, is first in caused turnovers with 12 and second in ground balls with 19 (behind Loughlin's 22.) Johnston is fourth on the team in points with 15.
SCOUTING DAVIDSON
- The Wildcats are 6-4 on the season but have found form hard to come by recently. They're 0-2 in conference play and currently on a four-game losing streak.
- La Salle's last win against Davidson came at home in 2015 when the Explorers enjoyed an 8-7 victory.
- This season, the Wildcats have three players who have eclipsed the 20-point barrier. Freshman Braeden Dial paces the team with 29 points (19 goals, ten assists), while sophomores Sam Rippley (15 goals, seven assists) and Olivia Carey (eight goals, 14 assists) are level on 22 points.
- Junior Delaney Guhman has played most of the minutes in net for the Wildcats. She has recorded 75 saves and a 10.31 goals against average.
SCOUTING VCU
- The Rams sport a 4-5 mark in 2019 and have split their conference games with a 1-1 record. They're 0-2 on the road this season and play Saint Joseph's away on Friday before driving over to La Salle.
- The Explorers have never lost to VCU, going 3-0 in their history. In the last meeting at McCarthy Stadium in 2017, La Salle triumphed 15-11.
- The Rams have two players above the 30-point threshold this season. They're led by redshirt senior Sky Hyatt on 41 points (33 goals, eight assists), followed by senior Molly Barcikowski with 36 points (20 goals, 16 assists.)
- Senior goalkeeper Ria Peralta has played every game for VCU (472 of 540 minutes.) She has recorded 95 saves, with a save percentage of 45.5%.
