AARHUS, Denmark - Freshman
Ibrahim Kedir of the La Salle University men's cross country and track & field teams will be competing at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships in Denmark on Saturday.
Kedir will be representing Team Canada in the U-20 8K race, which will feature 121 athletes from 33 different countries battling for a world title. The Toronto native previously helped Canada win the team title at the NACAC Cross Country Championships back in February. He finished sixth out of 28 finishers with a time of 27:52.00.
After an exceptional fall with the Explorers, Kedir qualified to be a member of the Canadian National Team for both the NACAC and IAAF Championships by placing fourth among 104 finishers in the 8K at the Canadian National Cross Country Championships in November.
