GREENVILLE, N.C. - Senior relief pitcher Connor Hinchliffe of the La Salle University baseball team was named to the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Stopper of the Year Award midseason watch list on Wednesday.

It's the second watch list in which Hinchliffe has been featured as he landed on the Golden Spikes Award midseason watch list on April 11. He was the only Atlantic 10 Conference player featured on either list.

Hinchliffe is already fourth in single season program history with 10 saves so far this season. He currently leads the Atlantic 10 in that category and is in the top-10 nationally, while his 21 apearances are also the most in the conference. The right-hander has piled up 34 strikeouts over 26.2 innings of relief and leads the team in both ERA (2.36) and opposing batting average (.169).

The 15th annual NCBWA Stopper of the Year Award honors the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I baseball.
