PHILADELPHIA – The Atlantic 10 announced its end-of-the-year teams today and two Explorers were featured. Sophomore
Bridget Ruskey made Second Team All-Conference as a midfielder, while freshman
Amanda Farnsworth was listed on the conference's All-Rookie Team.
Ruskey once again proved to be a key contributor for La Salle in all facets of the game. She finished 2019 first on the team in goals (33), assists (13) and points (46). Her 54 draw controls, also a team-best, was the second most ever in a season by an Explorer. She ranked in the top-four in ground balls, caused turnovers, free position goals and game winning goals. In conference play, she finished top 20 in points and top 10 in draw controls among A-10 players.
Farnsworth's first chapter of her La Salle career was typified by resilience, as the number 15 battled back from two concussions this season to play in 11 games. She became an important piece down the stretch, starting in five of the final seven games. The rookie defender recorded seven ground balls and four caused turnovers.
