BRONX, N.Y. – Sophomore Ibrahim Kedir and junior Luke Jaciw-Zurakowsky led the way as the La Salle University women's cross country team returned to action at the Iona Meet of Champions on Friday.
 
WHERE THEY FINISHED

• Kedir was the first Explorer to cross the finish line, turning in a mark of 25:09.6 to place ninth out of 153 runners.
• Jaciw-Zurakowsky wasn't far behind in 12th place, running the 8K course at Van Cortlandt Park in 25:15.5.
• Freshman Taonga Mbambo made his collegiate debut for the Explorers, finishing 32nd with a time of 25:59.4.
• Junior Ryan James finished in 26:15.0 to end up 45th, while redshirt senior Nathan Gillis crossed in 50th at 26:22.5.
• Redshirt senior Anthony Hawthorne was two spots back in 52nd with a mark of 26:28.8, followed immediately by freshman Alex Sandras in 53rd at 26:30.6.
