PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team (4-4-1, 0-1-0 A-10) looks to bounce back on Thursday when it travels to take on Richmond (4-3-2, 1-0-0 A-10) for its first road conference game of the season. Thursday's game with stream on ESPN+.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle fell in its most recent match to George Washington, 3-1, to open Atlantic 10 play on Sunday.
- Redshirt-senior Maci Bower is leading the team with nine points on four goals and an assist. She is currently ninth all-time with 21 goals – three behind her sister, Madison Bower '19.
- Junior Amirah Louketis has eight points and is tied for the team lead in goals with Bower.
- Freshman Leah Giles is pacing the squad with three assists. Giles is one of 10 different Explorers to register an assist this season.
- Junior Claudia Jenkins has seen every minute in net this season. The keeper has made 43 saves with a save percentage of .768 and a goals against average of 1.41.
SCOUTING THE SPIDERS:
- Richmond started league play with a 2-1 win over UMass this past Sunday.
- The Spiders have a pair of double-digit point scorers so far this season. Alyssa Walker leads the team with 13 points on five goals and three assists. Katie Tritt has scored 11 points with four goals and three assists. Walker leads the team in goals and is tied with Tritt to lead in assists.
- Four different keepers have seen time in net this year with Jessica Stanfill starting all nine contests and claiming the decision in all. Stanfill has 39 saves and posts a .736 save percentage and a 1.64 goals against average.
