Women’s Soccer Welcomes Duquesne on Sunday for Alumni Day

PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team returns to play on Sunday when it hosts Duquesne for Alumni Day. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. from McCarthy Stadium with the game streaming on ESPN+.
 
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
  • La Salle (5-4-1, 1-1-0 A-10) is coming off of an overtime win on Thursday at Richmond. Redshirt-senior Maci Bower scored the game-winning goal with 1:41 left in the first OT period.
  • Bower leads the team in both points (11) and goals (5).
  • Freshman Leah Giles is pacing the team with three assists.
  • Twelve different Explorers have registered a point this season.
  • Junior keeper Claudia Jenkins has played every minute in net this year. Jenkins has 49 saves with a .778 save percentage and posts a 1.36 goals against average.
SCOUTING THE DUKES:
  • Duquesne lost Thursday at Davidson, 2-0, and sits 3-3-2 overall and 1-1-0 in league play.
  • Deena DeBaldo is the only Duke with more than four points on the season. DeBaldo has a team high 13 points on six goals and an assist.
  • Megan Virgin has started all eight games in goal for Duquesne. Virgin has made 38 saves on 127 shots faced and boasts a 1.32 goals against average.
  • Duquesne is 0-3-1 on the road this season.
