PHILADELPHIA - La Salle University freshman Hannah Yanovich has been named Atlantic 10 Field Hockey Rookie of the Week, it was announced by the league on Tuesday.

In the first collegiate game of her career, Yanovich posted a goal and an assist in La Salle's 3-0 victory over Sacred Heart on Aug. 30. Yanovich scored the game-winning goal in the fourth minute, hitting home a feed from senior Lauren Lechleitner. 

Later in the first half, the Dallas, Pa. product collected her first collegiate assist on a goal by fellow frosh Noralie Pareau Dumont. In two starts, Yanovich is tied for the team lead with three points and is tied for second with four shot attempts.

La Salle field hockey returns to action on Friday, Sept. 6 with a road matchup against Rider. Opening pass is set for 4:00 p.m.
