Marybelle Daclan led the La Salle women's golf team on Monday at the Lady Purple Eagle Fall Invite. The Explorers hit a combined 358 (+78) to finish 4
th of four.
ABOUT THE LADY PURPLE EAGLE FALL INVITE:
- This was the first running of the event, hosted by Niagara.
- Event is one round at the Niagara Falls Country Club in Lewiston, N.Y.
- Course is a par 70 and 5,982 yards in length.
- Five players compete per team, with four scores counting. A total of 21 golfers played.
LA SALLE SCORECARD:
- Daclan finished in ninth place after shooting an 84 (+14).
- Sophomore Grace Hickey shot an 89 (+19) for a 13th place finish.
- Junior Franca Hurtado was one stroke behind Hickey at 90 (+20).
- Senior Mary Eyde carded a 95 (+25).
- Senior Bella Ritzel registered a 128 (+58) since rejoining the team this season.
THE FIELD:
- Wagner claimed the team first place finish with a 311 (+31).
- The Seahawks' Heather McLean sat atop the individual leaderboard after shooting a 74 (+4).

La Salle takes the course next for the Lehigh Invitational on October 21-22.
