PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's soccer team (1-2-1) will be on the road for its next two games with a challenging schedule ahead of itself. The Explorers take on Florida Gulf Coast (1-1-0) on Thursday night in Fort Myers, Fla. at 7 p.m. and St. John's (1-3-0) on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Queens. N.Y.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle enters the two-game set at 1-2-1 overall after falling to Drexel, 1-0, this past Sunday.
- Offensively, the Explorers have registered two goals on the season – one apiece for redshirt-senior Maci Bower and junior Amirah Louketis.
- On the defensive side, the Blue & Gold have allowed just one goal per game on average.
- In net, junior Claudia Jenkins has played every minute of each game. The keeper has a goals against average of 0.95 and a save percentage of 0.81. She's totaled 17 saves and one shutout on the season.
- La Salle is 1-0-1 this season against opponents from the Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN).
SCOUTING THE EAGLES:
- Florida Gulf Coast is 1-1 on the season after falling to Michigan, 2-0, last Friday.
- Last season, the Eagles fell in the in the ASUN semifinals and missed the NCAA Tournament despite a 13-4-2 record.
- Marjorie Boilesen has both of the team's goals this season. Both came in the Eagles' 2-0 win over FIU.
- Keeper Melissa Weck has recorded both decisions this year. She posts a 1.00 goals against average and a 0.80 save percentage.
SCOUTING THE RED STORM:
- St. John's is 1-3-0, coming off a loss at Notre Dame and will play Stony Brook on Thursday.
- Collectively, the team has three goals on the year with two coming from Zsani Kajan and the other from Isabelle Aviza.
- Two keepers have seen action this season with Naya Lipkens making all four starts. As a pair, the keepers have allowed nine goals for a goals against average of 2.08.
