HAMBURG, N.J. – The La Salle women's golf team completed the FDU Invitational on Sunday by improving its score from round one by 16 strokes with a 394. The Explorers ended ninth of 10 with a two-round score of 804.
The hosting Knights claimed the team title with a 607 (306, 301). FDU's Nicola Smith finished atop the leaderboard at 147 (73, 74) at the Crystal Springs Country Club's par-72 course.
LA SALLE SCORECARD:
- Senior Marybelle Daclan improved her first-round total by five strokes in round two on Sunday. Daclan finished tied for 24th overall with a 167.
- Sophomore Grace Hickey finished second on the team after she added three strokes to her round one total with a 98 on day two. She registered a 193 for the event.
- Senior Franca Hurtado shaved four strokes on day two for a combined 220.
- Senior Mary Eyde improved 10 strokes on day two to finish with a 107 in the round and a 224 total.
