PHILADELPHIA – Women's lacrosse looks for its opening win of the season this Saturday as it travels to Bucknell (first draw at 3 p.m.) The Explorers are coming off of a 16-12 defeat at Yale where junior Annina Iacobucci and freshman Madi McKee led the charge with three goals apiece.

ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
  • Junior Emily Johnston is the team's leading goalscorer with six strikes over the two games. McKee follows her with five goals and an assist.
  • McKee, coming off of her first career hattrick, is second among A-10 freshmen in goals, trailing Richmond's Arden Tierney (11).
  • Junior Bridget Ruskey paces La Salle in points with four goals and a team-high four assists.
  • On the defensive end, junior Priya Kavuru has recorded the most ground balls this season with six. Four Explorers—Kavuru, Iacobucci, senior Lexi Kucia and junior Jess Hewitt—are tied at the top in caused turnovers with three each.
  • Sophomore Kelli Kazmarek has played every minute in net so far, tallying 20 saves on 48 shots. Her 10 saves per game is third most among A-10 goalkeepers.
SCOUTING BUCKNELL
  • The Bison have gotten off to a 2-1 start, most recently falling to Hofstra 18-5.
  • Junior Eve Calabria is the player to watch, having scored seven and assisted eight to begin the campaign. Her 15 points are 10 more than the next player on the team.
  • Junior Lauren Kinnee has started each game but has allowed 23 goals on 41 shots. The Bison have shown the tendency to move to sophomore Caitlin Tucker if needed as she has logged 67 of 180 minutes in 2020.
  • Bucknell has caused plenty of turnovers through three games (10.33 per game, third in the conference) despite fouling minimally (seven per game, second in the nation).
  • The Lewisburg side has a pretty large roster with 43 players in the squad, 13 of which are freshmen.
  • The Bison are 3-1 all-time against La Salle with the two sides most recently playing in 2008.
