PHILADELPHIA – Women's lacrosse will have plenty of momentum this week after a thrilling five-goal comeback win at Bucknell on Saturday. The Explorers look to keep the victories coming as they travel to Temple on Tuesday (3 p.m. start) before hosting Radford at noon in their home opener four days later.
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS
- A number of big performances highlighted Saturday's rally for the Explorers. Freshman Tori Rolon led all players with the first four goals of her career.
- Junior Bridget Ruskey added three goals and leads the team with 11 points. Her seven goals are ties for the team high with classmate Emily Johnston.
- Freshman Madi McKee tallied another goal against the Bison, bringing her season tally to six. She's third on the team in draw controls with seven behind Johnston (16) and Ruskey (11).
- Junior Priya Kavuru has been impressive on defense, registering eight ground balls and seven caused turnovers.
- Speaking of defense, the Explorers have kept fouls to a minimum, registering 11.67 per game—15th best in the nation.
- In net, junior Molly Loughlin came in on Saturday for her first appearance of the season and shut Bucknell down, allowing two goals and tallying six saves.
SCOUTING THE OWLS
- Temple has gotten off to a 2-3 start this season, most recently defeating Coastal Carolina. All of their games have been at home so far.
- Junior Bridget Whitaker leads the charge for the Owls offense with 10 goals and four assists. Senior Meghan Hoffman is second on points (12) and is the team's top provider with eight assists.
- Senior Maryn Lowell has started every game, allowing 37 goals and saving 23.
- The Owls have the best draw control percentage in their conference at 60% and the most ground balls per game with 20.80.
- Temple has won the last five meeting between the teams.

SCOUTING THE HIGHLANDERS
- Radford's record through four games is 1-3 with a 1-2 mark on the road.
- The Highlanders have three players with five goals: seniors Lindsey Carroll and Amanda Paino and sophomore Grace Gleason.
- In the cage, sophomore Maddie Bowman has saved 45 shots and allowed 55 goals.
- Radford has proven to be aggressive on defense, second in its conference in caused turnovers (10.50) and ground balls per game (21.50) despite fouling minimally (16.25).
- The Explorers won the contest last season 17-15 with juniors Annina Iacobuccia and Maddie Dachowski combining for ten goals.
