GILBERT, Ariz. - The La Salle University field hockey team was one of the 73 NCAA Division I programs that earned the 2019 Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I National Academic Team Award, it was announced by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) recently.

The Division I National Academic Team Award recognizes programs that earned a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher during the fall semester of the 2019-20 school year.

The Explorers compiled a 3.51 GPA as a team, which ranked fifth among all La Salle sport programs for the Fall 2019 semester. The Explorers have been honored by the organization for their outstanding work in the classroom every season since the program began in 2003.
