GILBERT, Ariz. - Seven La Salle University field hockey student-athletes have been recognized as Zag Field Hockey/NFHCA Division I Scholars of Distinction, it was announced recently. The total tied for the most by any single program in the country this season with fellow A-10 school VCU.
Seniors Amanda Chapin and Emma Provost were joined by sophomore Tori Wright, sophomore Shannon O'Reilly, and freshmen Samie Hackman, Kelsey Jones and Noralie Pareau Dumont as recipients. Additionally, Chapin, Provost, Wright, Jones and Pareau Dumont all earned perfect 4.0 GPA's for the fall 2019 semester.
The Division I Scholars of Distinction program recognizes student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative grade-point average of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2019-20 academic year.
