PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Taonga Mbambo's performance in the cross country conference championships over the weekend helped the team to its 11^th championship title over the weekend, earning the nomination for NovaCare Student-Athlete of the Week, announced on Tuesday afternoon. 
 
Mbambo was the top-finisher for the Explorers on the men's side placing fourth overall at the Atlantic 10 Cross Country Championships. He crossed the line at 24:55.0. The performance awarded him First Team All-Conference honors and helped to push the Explorers to the top of the leaderboard. 
 
The Ashburton, New Zealand native will take to the course again on Nov. 12 in Bethlehem, Pa. for the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regionals, hosted by Lehigh.
