PHILADELPHIA – Women's lacrosse looks to continue its strong start to the season when it hosts Lehigh on Saturday at 1 p.m. The Explorer opened their season with a 7-4 home win over Delaware last weekend.
 
ABOUT THE EXPLORERS

• Senior Priya Kavuru is coming off an Atlantic Defensive Player of the Week award after recording four ground balls and four caused turnovers vs. the Blue Hens.
• Senior goalkeeper Molly Loughlin leads the nation in goals against average (4) and save percentage (.733). Her saves per game of 11 rank seventh in the country.
• On offense, seniors Bridget Ruskey and Annina Iacobucci led the charge with each scoring twice and assisting once.
• Rookie watch: Freshmen Maddie Henderson and Lola Quigley each scored in their debut. Henderson also tallied three caused turnovers.
• As a team, La Salle is third in the NCAA in caused turnovers per game with 14. It also leads the A-10 in draw control percentage (.615) and clearing percentage (.917).

 
SCOUTING THE MOUNTAIN HAWKS

• Lehigh is 0-2 so far this season, dropping both of its games to Philadelphia schools – Drexel and Saint Joseph's.
• The Mountain Hawks lead their conference in assists per game, caused turnovers per game, and ground balls per game.
• Sophomore Emma Eberhardt has been dishing it for Lehigh to start the season; her 3.5 assists per game is third in the nation.
• Graduate student Sondra Dickey paces the team in goals with 11, with her average of 5.5 a game ranking fifth in the country.
• In net, senior Samantha Sagi has tallied 14 saves – second most in the Patriot League – and faced 40 shots.
