NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Junior Kayla Spruill and sophomore Claire Jacobs landed spots on the Atlantic 10's All-Conference teams, the league announced Tuesday after a vote by A-10 head coaches.
 
Spruill was tabbed All-Conference Second Team after finishing second in the Atlantic 10 with 17.8 ppg during league play. Overall, the Baltimore, Md. native finished the regular season with a career best 14.8 ppg and added 5.8 rpg. She shot 50.8% overall and 43.5% from deep to lead the Blue & Gold. The 6-0 guard/forward scored at least 10 points in all but one of her 13 conference games this season, including 15+ in nine and 20+ in five. She also led the A-10 in three-point field goal percentage.
 
Jacobs snags All-Conference honors for the second year in a row as an All-Conference Third Team selection in 2020-21 after garnering All-Rookie status last year. She led the Explorers this season with 16.3 points on average, adding 4.3 rebounds per game. The Perth, Australia native upped her shooting percentages from last season to 40.2% overall, 37.7% from three-point range, and a team high 82.7% from the line. Jacobs finished fourth overall in scoring in the league and third in three pointers.
 
La Salle returns to the floor on Thursday when it takes on #9 Duquesne in the second round of the Atlantic 10 Championship.
