PHILADELPHIA - Winners of eight of their last 11 games, the La Salle University baseball team will play its ninth straight road game on Wednesday when the Explorers visit Coppin State for a 3 p.m. first pitch.

LAST TIME OUT

• The Explorers jumped out to a 7-0 lead in game one and then rallied to come within a run in game two, but it wasn't enough as they dropped two games at Penn on Saturday, 15-7 and 5-4.
• The loss in game one snapped a six-game win streak for the Explorers, who split the four-game series with the Quakers.
• Sophomore Elijah Dickerson totaled four RBI over the two games and went 3-for-4 in the first game. Graduate student Ryan Guckin drove in three runs in game one, while junior Nick O'Day went 2-for-3 in the second game.

HOT STREAK

• The Explorers won six games in a row prior to Saturday's losses, including two blowout wins in the first two games against Penn.
• It was the longest win streak for the Explorers since 2013.
• On Thursday, the Explorers scored eight runs in the ninth inning and tallied 11 hits in a 14-7 victory.
• On Friday, La Salle piled up season highs of 22 runs and 22 hits in a 22-2 rout at Penn. Twelve different Explorers had a hit, including seven with multi-hit games.
• It was the second most runs by La Salle in a single game in the last 20 years.

SCOUTING COPPIN STATE

• The Golden Eagles are 5-13 on the season and just 1-5 on their home field.
• Coppin State dropped three of its four games at home against Norfolk State over the weekend.
• La Salle had a dramatic win over Coppin State on March 14 when junior Tatem Levins hit a walk-off single to cap a four-run rally in the ninth inning for an 11-10 win.
• Mike Dorcean leads the team with a .433 average and four home runs, while Darren Hagan has a team-high 19 RBI.
• The Eagles have a team ERA of 6.90 and a 1.97 WHIP.
