PHILADELPHIA - La Salle Athletics is excited to announce an enhancement to the fan experience for spectators at McCarthy Stadium.
Beginning on Oct. 8 with the men's soccer contest against Rhode Island, and for weekend men's and women's soccer games the rest of the season, food and beverage options will be provided to fans attending games.
Beer, wine, and seltzers, along with water, soda, and food options, will be available for purchase beginning 60 minutes prior to kickoff and will conclude at the end of halftime.
Fans with a valid ID will be able to purchase a maximum of one alcoholic beverage per transaction at the designated location inside the north entrance of the stadium. There will be no hawkers in the facility selling alcohol and all drinks will be poured into a cup when sold. Alcoholic beverages will be prohibited in the student section.
La Salle's concessions partner, Aramark, will have trained professionals serving and selling alcoholic beverages during games, with safe server training required for all serving parties. All state and federal laws as well as University regulations will be complied with, and alcohol service will be discontinued at Aramark's discretion.
The following games are included in the pilot program schedule:
- Men's Soccer vs. Rhode Island - Saturday, Oct. 8 - 7 p.m.
- Women's Soccer vs. Saint Joseph's - Sunday, Oct. 16 - 1 p.m.
- Women's Soccer vs. Davidson - Sunday, Oct. 23 - 1 p.m.
- Men's Soccer vs. Duquesne - Saturday, Oct. 29 - 5 p.m.
At the end of the seasons, the department will evaluate the pilot program to determine its viability for future seasons.
