Men's Rowing | April 15, 2022
PHILADELPHIA – Both the La Salle men and women's rowing team get back out on the waters, competing at the Kerr Cup this weekend on the Schuylkill River.
The women narrow the team back to two boats this weekend after the Varsity 4+ made their season debut at the Knecht Cup last week. The Varsity and Second Varsity 8+ boats also make their first lineup changes of the season, unchanged through the opening two weekends of the spring.
"The women are entering Kerr Cup with intentionally tired legs from a hard final push of training, as well as debuting new lineups," said assistant coach
Kelsey Franks. "But make no mistake - they are more focused and determined than ever to have their best race day yet."
The men come off another successful trip on the Cooper River, the men's varsity 4+ and the freshman 4+ remaining undefeated on the season with back-to-back gold medals. The freshman will be moving categories, with two boats racing in each of the varsity 4+ and second varsity 4+ on Saturday.
"Our spring racing schedule continues with Kerr Cup," said assistant coach
Ivo Krakic. "We have been making steady improvements across all the boats and are excited to test out the speed this weekend. We hope to continue our very successful season!"
