PHILADELPHIA – After four straight games in the friendly confines of McCarthy Stadium, La Salle lacrosse will hit the road for matchups with St. Bonaventure on Friday, April 8 and Duquense on Sunday, April 10.
Both games will be streamed live on ESPN+.
SCOUTING THE EXPLORERS:
- La Salle enters the weekend with a record of 3-9, including 1-3 in Atlantic 10 conference play.
- The Explorers dropped an 11-5 decision to George Washington on Friday, April 1 before falling to Davidson 18-7 on Sunday, April 3.
- Do-it-all midfielder Emily Johnston leads La Salle in goals (27), assists (7), points (34), ground balls (28), caused turnovers (17), and draw controls (48).
- Maddie Henderson ranks second on the team with 15 goals, 23 draw controls and 15 caused turnovers.
- On defense, Liza Dellaratta has collected 25 ground balls while forcing 11 turnovers.
- Tori Rolon, Claudia Steinmetz, Maddie Dachowski, and Kiki Venza have all notched double-digit points this season for a balanced La Salle offense.
- The Explorers have been more efficient than their opponents in clearing the ball in 2022, holding a percentage of .887 (173-195) compared to their opponents .836 (184-220).
- In goal, Kelli McGroarty and Julia Dellaratta have split time for the Explorers while combining for a goals-against average of 12.27 while making 126 saves. McGroarty leads the pair with 65 saves and a save percentage of .524.
SCOUTING THE BONNIES:
- St. Bonaventure comes into the game with a record of 1-9, and an 0-4 record in A10 play.
- The Bonnies are coming off two road losses over the past week, with a 7-15 loss at George Mason and a 10-13 loss at George Washington.
- St. Bonaventure has three players with double digit goals on the season in Abby Hiltz (11), Kassi Hogan (11), and Fiona McGovern (10).
- Ashley Herrick leads the team in goal with 9 starts and has accumulated 104 saves on a .419 save percentage.
SCOUTING THE DUKES:
- Duquesne enters the weekend with a record 3-8, including 0-4 in Atlantic 10 play.
- The Dukes were in action twice in Richmond, Va. last weekend, falling to No. 19 Richmond 17-8 before dropping a 13-10 decision to VCU.
- Three Dukes have racked up 20-plus goals in Delaney Rodriguez-Shaw, Sam King, and Tina St. Clair.
- Three Dukes have appeared in goal, led by 10 appearances from Mady Piersielak. As a unit, Duquesne goalies have allowed 158 goals and made 98 saves.
