PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle men's and women's rowing team look to get back on the waters this weekend, taking part in the Knecht Cup on Saturday afternoon in Cherry Hill.
After a successful spring season debut at the Murphy Cup saw two gold medals for the men's team and the women making the finals for the first time in nine years, the Explorers look to continue the momentum on the Cooper River.
"The Knecht Cup is one of those rare regattas that allow us to race crews we wouldn't ordinarily race, and also provide multiple race opportunities to rev our engines and tweak our race tactics," said assistant coach
Kelsey Franks. "The women's Varsity 8 will race three times over the two day regatta, the 2
nd Varsity 8 will race twice and we will debut our Varsity 4+ lineup for the first time this season! The women are prepared and excited for a weekend packed with racing!"
