NASSAU COUNTY, N.Y. – The La Salle women's golf team fell to Hofstra in the first of back-to-back duals for the Explorers, falling by a team score of 315-341 on Friday afternoon at the Eisenhower Golf Club.
ABOUT THE COURSE
- A par 72, the Eisenhower Red Course plays at 5,835 yards.
- The event was an 18 hole, one round tournament with five players on each side, two Hofstra golfers registering as individuals
LA SALLE SCORECARD
- Hannah Basler and Kayleigh Zeman both led the Explorers with rounds of 80 (+8). The scores proved to be good for a tie in third, two strokes off the pace of second place. Basler made the turn to shoot a 39 on the back nine, while Zeman used a strong showing of a 38 on the front to stay near the top of the leaderboard.
- Grace Hickey followed for La Salle with an 89 (+17), a balanced 44 and 45 on either side of the turn.
- Megan Ruffing carded a 92 (+20) to finish three strokes ahead of Libby Gilliland, who rounded the scoring off with a 95 (+23).
LEADERBOARD
- Hofstra's Savannah Weyrauch led the field by shooting a 75 on the afternoon, sitting at just three over. Weyrauch proved three strokes better than her teammate and second place Cynthia Zhao.

- The Explorers are back on the course tomorrow, taking on Niagara in a second consecutive dual at the Indian Valley Country Club in Telford, Pa.
