 PHILADELPHIA – The La Salle women's rowing team head out to the Cooper River on Saturday morning, looking to make some noise at the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championships.
 
"This is the weekend we've spent all year training for," said assistant coach Kelsey Franks. "After almost two decades of sitting at the bottom of our conference, this very special group of women is determined to blaze a new trail in La Salle Women's Rowing history this weekend!"
 
The event takes place off the Cooper River Boathouse and hosts a multitude of regattas annually, being a mainstay for the conference tournament since the 2017 season. La Salle brings two boats to the championship, competing with Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 8+ boats.
 
Massachusetts and Rhode Island have had a longstanding control over the team championship, one of the two teams winning 24 of the previous 25 team titles with Saint Joseph's 2011 team the only other crew to topple the Minutewomen and Rams.
