Villanova, PA – La Salle women's lacrosse is set to take on the Villanova Wildcats on Wednesday, February 22 at 1:00 p.m.
The Explorers are 0-2 on the season while Villanova enters at 2-0.
Scouting the Explorers –
- The Explorers enter tomorrow with a lot of new faces influencing the season so far.
- Sophomore, Ellen Stickney, has two goals scores thus far, which is tied for the most on the team. Stickney also has three points and one assist through the two games.
- Maddie Henderson is tied with Stickney in goals, points, and assists going into tomorrow. Henderson leads the team with four caused turnovers.
- Freshman, Grace Lord, had a strong showing against UPenn as she had four draw controls. Lord has eight overall this season, which leads the team.
- Julia Dellaratta has started the first two games for La Salle this season. Freshman, Mary Babbage, saw her first action as an Explorers last in the game against UPenn.
Scouting the Wildcats –
- The Wildcats are coming off a 14-13 win over reigning A-10 champion St. Joe's 14-13.
- Graduate student, Caroline Curnal, leads Nova with nine goals scores thus far in 2023.
- Sydney Pappas and Elena Torres are sitting at seven goals each this season.
- Olivia Conquest has started in goal for the Wildcats this season and has a 0.457 save percentage.
