PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Explorers women's lacrosse will return to McCarthy Stadium, a week after their last game, to take on the George Washington Colonials in the first conference game of the 2023 season.
Both teams come into the contest looking for their first win of the year.
Scouting the Explorers –
- La Salle fell on the road last Saturday to Mount St. Mary's of Maryland.
- Five different Explorers got on the board in the contest, two goals coming from Mackenzie Click and two coming from Claudia Steinmetz.
- Mackenzie Click and Alana Lathan are now atop the scoring leader board for La Salle, each having scored six goals thus far in the season.
- Lathan leads the team in total points, with eight, and has taken the most shots on goal with 13.
- Julia Dellaratta has spent the majority of season behind the pipes for La Salle and enters tomorrow with a .405 save percentage.
- Last season the Explorers fell to GW 11-5. Maddie Henderson and Liza Dellaratta each scored one goal for La Salle in that game.
Scouting GW –
- GW enters tomorrow 0-5, with their most recent loss coming to Mercer this past Tuesday. They fell by a score of 19-7.
- Kerry McKeever and Whitney Moran are the goal leaders for the team this season, each scoring eight goals in 2023.
- Senior, Kianah Watson, has been strong in draw controls for GW this season having 10 of them through five games.
- Goalie, Mia Caro, has been in net the entirety of the season for GW and comes into the contest with a .386 save percentage.
