PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – La Salle women's lacrosse will host the VCU Rams tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. in an A-10 Conference game.
La Salle enters looking for the first win of the season while the Rams come in with a 4-6 overall record, 0-3 in conference.
Scouting the Explorers –
- After a tough loss to UMASS this past Wednesday, La Salle now has two players atop the scoring leader board. Maddie Henderson and Alana Lathan are the team's leading goal scorers with 11 apiece.
- Henderson left the last game with two points, one goal and one assist.
- Katie Johnson is on a three-game scoring streak and has scored a total five goals in those three games.
- Henderson and Grace Lord have been the team's leading draw controllers having gotten 20 and 16, respectively this season.
- Julia Dellaratta has made all nine starts between the pipes for the Explorers and will come into tomorrow with a .376 save percentage.
Scouting the Rams –
- VCU enters the game tomorrow on a four-game losing streak with their most recent loss coming against Davidson. The team fell 8-7.
- The Explorers will have to keep a close eye on the Ram's leading scorer, Kelsey McDonnell. McDonnell has 24 goals thus far in 2023.
- Juliana George is two goals behind McDonnell, but each have tallied 28 points this season.
- The team-leader in draw controls is junior midfielder, Sarah Jones. Jones has corralled 20 total for VCU.
- Meghna Dawar is the starting goalie for VCU and enters tomorrow with a .475 save percentage.
